Parents in Mataram have voiced their support for the Indonesian Communication and Information Ministry’s Digital Communication Directorate (Komdigi) following its decision to block certain online games. The move is aimed at protecting children from potential mental health risks and to prevent disruptions to their learning processes. Komdigi, tasked with overseeing digital content regulation in Indonesia, identified several games they consider harmful to children due to their addictive qualities and content. This regulatory action reflects growing concerns among parents and authorities over the influence of online gaming on young users’ well-being and education. The initiative demonstrates an active effort in Indonesia to manage digital media consumption and foster safer online environments for children.
